Josie’s background as a high school fashion design teacher spurred her initial interest in learning surface pattern design, but her love for creating and making started long before her career as a teacher.

A native Texan, she now lives in the Chicago suburbs and runs the Hey Miss design studio out of her home she shares with her husband, young son, and soon to be daughter.

Inspired by flowers, travels, color, and more flowers, her work is found primarily on textiles, but Josie loves expanding into new markets and collaborating with other businesses who value creativity and a human touch.
